Illuminated Sundays

As Christmas approaches, Gambsheim lights up every Sunday with the Illuminated Sundays, a festive and free event blending lights, music, and conviviality. From November 22 to December 27, 2026, from 5 PM to 7 PM, visitors are invited to discover a winter wonderland at 3A rue du Cimetière, to be enjoyed with family or friends. This 2026 edition introduces two mini sound and light shows, a first in Alsace in this setting: "The Magical Countdown of Santa Claus" at 5:20 PM, where music and visual effects accompany the lighting of the grand Christmas tree, and "Light of Christmas," presented at 5:40 PM, 6 PM, 6:20 PM, and 6:40 PM, which makes the lights dance to Christmas melodies. Between shows, the decorations remain accessible for free exploration. An enchanted forest and a magical icefield, adorned with over 30,000 LEDs, Christmas trees, and illuminated characters, transform the courtyard into a fairy-tale landscape. To extend the experience, a food stand offers crepes, soup, and mulled wine in a warm atmosphere. Admission is free, and a donation box supports Life Pink, an Alsatian association fighting cancer. Two nearby parking lots make access to this luminous and musical interlude easy.
