In 2026, the Christmas Treasure Hunts return to Alsace to turn the magic of the season into a grand adventure across the region. From November 21, 2026, to January 6, 2027, 57 treasure hunts are organized in Alsatian towns and villages, all connected by a common thread: the legend of the Alsace Christmas Flame. According to this legend, the Flame shattered into many Christmas Shards scattered throughout Alsace. Each community offers its own quest, blending local history, heritage, and puzzles, allowing participants to find a new Shard of the Flame with each adventure.

In Haguenau, the town transforms into a playground for adventurers. Since the arrival of the Shard of the Flame, mysterious glowing roses have appeared in the streets, leaving behind valuable clues. To unravel this mystery, participants must follow the trail of the cinquefoil rose, the town's historic emblem. Equipped with a game booklet, they explore Haguenau, observe their surroundings, solve puzzles, and collect symbols to complete their grid. Their goal: to discover the object capable of picking the magical rose and thus access the Shard of the Flame.

This treasure hunt is for all ages, offering an immersive experience blending mystery, discovery, and a festive atmosphere. It allows visitors to rediscover Haguenau from a unique perspective while enjoying the magic of Christmas celebrations in Alsace.

To participate, visit the Haguenau Tourist Office. This year, two materials are offered: the adventurer's passport to follow the quest and the game sheet to solve the puzzles. Each participant receives a reward provided by the Tourist Office.

The Christmas Treasure Hunts also extend to Val-de-Moder, Bischwiller, and Schweighouse-sur-Moder. Will you be able to find the Shard of the Flame?
