Exhibition "The Song of the Sky" at Galerie Nicole Buck
The bird, both familiar and elusive, has always embodied a presence that is both light and mysterious. Between earth and sky, it carries within it the vital impulse, migration, the fragility of life, but also the call of elsewhere. As body, sign, or fleeting trace, it crosses imaginations and cultures without ever being fully grasped.
With the exhibition *The Song of the Sky*, Galerie Nicole Buck brings together diverse works—paintings, sculptures, and photographs—to explore this multifaceted figure. Artists Martine Luttringer, Marie-Amélie Germain, Anne Bulliot, Dan Steffan, Josef Bücheler, Leïla Helmstetter, Martine Missemer, Germain Roesz, Didier Guth, Christiane Bricka, Mitsuo Shiraishi, Angela M. Flaig, Christophe Chevallier, Sylvie Villaume, and Vladimir Velickovic offer a journey where the bird transforms into motif, symbol, or whisper.
Wings, in particular, become lines in space, evoking movement, flight, fall, or waiting. The sky is no longer just a distant horizon: it becomes an inner territory, a space of memory, freedom, and contemplation. Between breath and silence, between matter and lightness, the exhibition invites us to listen to what birds say without words—the desire to rise, the fragile beauty of the world, and that invisible part that connects every being to life.
