Comedy - An Italian Straw Hat

On his wedding day, everything seems to be going perfectly for Fadinard… until his horse bites a straw hat while crossing the Bois de Vincennes.

But this hat is no ordinary one: it is a unique Italian straw hat worn by a woman in a romantic rendezvous. Married to a jealous man, she demands an identical hat before returning home, triggering a frantic chase through Paris for Fadinard.

Meanwhile, he must also hide the truth from his in-laws and the entire wedding party, who follow him without understanding this absurd quest. Between an angry father-in-law, a domineering milliner, an eccentric baroness, and a threatening military officer, the day promises to be unforgettable.

To meet this theatrical challenge, three actors play all the roles and manage their own effects live, offering a show full of virtuosity and contagious energy. Aurélien Portehaut’s direction energizes this masterpiece by Eugène Labiche, turning the play into a whirlwind of laughter and good cheer.
