In 1940, as Alsace was annexed by Nazi Germany, Marguerite Fuhrmann, only 21 years old, decided to join the Resistance. Her commitment led to her arrest by the Gestapo in 1942.

Twice sentenced to death by the Reich Military Tribunal, she endured nearly three years of extreme hardship: imprisoned in several German prisons, subjected to forced labor, deprivation, and the constant fear of execution.

Held under the secret "Nacht und Nebel" regime, designed to erase all traces of opponents, she endured the concentration camp hell without ever losing hope.

Freed in April 1945, her journey embodies loyalty, resistance, and hope.

This conference, led by Jean-Paul Lerch, author and memory keeper, recounts her extraordinary story through photographs, archives, manuscripts, and unpublished testimonies, paying tribute to this courageous woman.
