Concert - Around Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
As part of Mozart Year, organized by the Obernai School of Music, the city's philharmonic orchestra invites you to an exceptional concert honoring the works of the Austrian composer.
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, born in Salzburg on January 27, 1756, epitomizes the child prodigy: he gave his first harpsichord lessons at the age of four and composed his first pieces at just six.
His fame quickly grew thanks to tours organized by his father, Leopold, vice chapel master to the Prince-Archbishop of Salzburg and his mentor.
Despite a brilliant career cut short by his death in December 1791 at only 35, Mozart left an invaluable musical legacy.
In three decades, he composed a major body of work covering almost all classical music genres, leaving masterpieces that continue to shape history.
