Noëlies Concert: Dulci Jubilo Ensemble

Immerse yourself in the magic of Christmas with the Dulci Jubilo choir, conducted by Christopher Gibert. This musical program, both intimate and enchanting, celebrates the sweetness and light of the season through timeless melodies. Mainly inspired by British musical treasures, it highlights pieces by Britten, Holst, and Leighton, while also including traditional carols beloved for singing with family or near the nativity scene. To enrich this experience, the choir has commissioned new original arrangements specially composed by Mark Opstad, showcasing a varied selection of the most beautiful French Christmas songs. These creations, born from an artistic collaboration, promise to warm hearts and spread joy.

Founded in 2018 in Montauban, the Dulci Jubilo choir is establishing itself as an emerging ensemble in the French choral revival. With remarkable sensitivity and precision, its performers explore a diverse repertoire, ranging from a cappella to accompanied works, across various stylistic schools. In 2023, a collaboration with composer Thierry Escaich led to concerts, a recording, and a video series titled "The Breath of the Soul."

A member of FEVIS, the choir is in residence at Saint-Eustache Church in Paris and at the Abbey of Beaulieu-en-Rouergue, National Monuments Center.
