Noëlies: Nativity Scene Trail

Nestled in a setting of vineyards and fir trees, the village and its church are framed by the majestic Haut-Koenigsbourg Castle.

Each year, an animated nativity scene comes to life with a carefully crafted decor of moss, mushrooms, branches, and stones, all gathered with care by a passionate team.

The elements vary from year to year, inspired by Jean Eblin’s creativity and the desire to showcase new creations. The figurines, which increase in number throughout the liturgical season, follow a realistic and steep path leading to the arrival of the Three Wise Men. Subtle lighting highlights the beauty of the Holy Nativity, emphasizing the donkey, ox, and sheep that accompany the scene.
