Torchlight Procession and Christmas Vigil
Every year, the residents of Saint-Pierre-Bois gather for a torchlight procession to Saint-Gilles Church, where a Christmas vigil awaits them. This festive tradition, full of warmth and community spirit, lights the path with glowing torches.
On site, participants can purchase torches and lanterns to join the nighttime walk.
Once arrived, the evening continues with a Christmas vigil inside the church. The program includes Christmas carols echoing under the vaulted ceilings, a Christmas story performed by children, readings aloud, and a live nativity scene bringing the space to life. To gently close the evening, a cup of mulled wine or hot apple juice is offered to all attendees in a warm and festive atmosphere.
