Wurzel Cyclocross

Come and take part in this traditional sporting competition during the Défis du Wurzel. Saturday is dedicated to an American-style cyclocross to kick off the event. Participants compete in pairs on the Saint-Gilles hill. Each team must complete a relay each lap, except for the last one where both riders must finish together. Races start at 1:30 PM for U9/U11 categories, 2:00 PM for U13/15, and 3:00 PM for U17/U19, seniors, and masters. On Sunday, the event also takes place on the Saint-Gilles hill for all categories, from pre-licensed to elite. The continuously improved course offers a varied mix of terrains: meadow, forest, camber, climbs, descents, asphalt, and stairs. Spectators enjoy an exceptional view of the race and the Villé valley. Start times are set at 10:00 AM for youth (U7 to U17), 2:10 PM for women and masters, and 3:10 PM for elites and masters under 40.
