Martin Luther King - Right to Freedom
For the first time in France, an exceptional exhibition traces the journey of Martin Luther King, a pastor who became the iconic leader of the civil rights movement in the United States during the 1950s-60s. Through an immersion in his commitment to equality and social justice, visitors discover a non-violent vision that inspired millions worldwide.
The exhibition features a variety of historical materials: period photographs, symbolic objects, televised archives, music, and exclusive interviews. These elements allow visitors to delve into Martin Luther King's struggle, highlighting his major achievements and the challenges he overcame. The goal is to provoke reflection, encourage debate, and inspire collective action.
This exhibition, initiated by the Nobel Prize Museum in Stockholm, is presented in Strasbourg in partnership with the National University Library (BNU) and the René Cassin Foundation.
