Pink October - La Strasbourgeoise

Since 2010, La Strasbourgeoise, a flagship event in Strasbourg, has been actively committed to the fight against breast cancer. Every October, the city turns pink with running races, canoe routes, solidarity walks, and information campaigns to promote the importance of early screening. A special guided tour also highlights the role of women in Strasbourg's history, while an XXL pink bench installed on the terrace of Palais Rohan draws public attention to this cause. Open daily throughout October from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., this symbolic bench attracts many visitors each year. All funds raised through registrations for La Strasbourgeoise are fully donated to ICANS – Institut de cancérologie Strasbourg Europe, to finance research and patient support. This mobilization is part of the Pink Ribbon Month, a national awareness campaign reminding that 1 in 8 women in France is affected by this disease. Strasbourg reaffirms its solidarity commitment every autumn.
