Performance: Crossing the Night
Immerse yourself in a spiritual and sensitive experience where the night becomes a journey through traditions.
This immersive story blends songs, theorbo, and ancient texts in Sanskrit, Greek, Latin, French, and Hebrew, evoking both the anxiety and serenity of the night. Inspired by the Indian goddess Arāyani, the performance follows an initiatory path alongside the souls of the dead and nocturnal creatures, where every sound and word resonates like a prayer to Nature and the Divine within each of us.
The theorbo, a baroque instrument with a deep timbre, accompanies this crossing like a voice from the shadows, linking silence, text, and song in a musical chiaroscuro. For those interested, an explanatory workshop on the Sanskrit text and a forest walk at dusk will prepare the audience for the performance. A convivial meal will conclude the evening, offering a moment to share impressions.
