Horizon/t
Built in 1936, the Deutsches Weintor still bears the marks of the spatial and cultural policies implemented under the Nazi regime.
Aligned along its visual axis stands the French Geisberg memorial, dedicated to the 1870 war.
Through the Horizon/t exhibition, artist Arthur Schuman offers a cross-reading of these two emblematic structures, exploring the tensions between immediate perception, historical knowledge, and the persistent messages conveyed by architecture. The exhibition invites visitors to question the gap between what these sites seem to say and what they reveal once placed in their context.
