AJAM - Arthur Hinnewinkel

To close its concert season, AJAM invites Arthur Hinnewinkel, a pianist of recognized talent and inspiring personality. This recital will highlight two of his current favorite works, including Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition, an essential masterpiece of the piano repertoire.

An artist as inventive as he is virtuosic, Arthur Hinnewinkel has chosen to continue his exploration of the Romantic repertoire after two years dedicated to Schumann, one of his favorite composers. He will offer a discovery: a lesser-known opus by Brahms, a composer rooted in tradition, which he will contrast with Mussorgsky. The latter, a contemporary of Brahms, made history with bold and innovative writing, giving rise to one of the greatest masterpieces of piano literature.
