AJAM - Gabriel Pidoux & Jorge González Buajasán

The 66th edition of AJAM at the Colmar Municipal Theatre promises to be exceptional with Gabriel Pidoux, an oboist honored as "Instrumental Solo Revelation" at the 2020 Victoires de la Musique Classique. Accompanied by pianist Jorge González Buajasán, a member of the Zeliha Trio, he will present a recital entirely dedicated to the French school of oboe. The program will highlight three major 20th-century works by Saint-Saëns, Poulenc, and Dutilleux, where the instrument's poetry is beautifully showcased. Two virtuoso pieces will complete this journey, while Poulenc's *Mélancolie* will illustrate the finesse of González Buajasán's playing. This duo, formed in 2019, has already recorded two critically acclaimed albums in 2022 and 2026. Founded in 1960, AJAM continues a prestigious musical tradition by welcoming the third generation of the Pidoux family, following Roland and Raphaël.
