Concert - Strange Kind of Women, tribute to Deep Purple
Considered by many as the most innovative and popular rock band of all time, DEEP PURPLE inspired the creation of STRANGE KIND OF WOMEN. This all-female, 100% Italian tribute band was founded by Eliana Cargnelutti, a guitarist and leader from Udine, near Venice. Her goal was clear: to bring together musicians capable of conveying the magic of DEEP PURPLE on stage every night, with the same passion and intensity as the original. The band's name is taken from an iconic DEEP PURPLE song, *Strange Kind of Woman*, chosen for its powerful and obvious evocation of the musical universe they wished to celebrate. STRANGE KIND OF WOMEN debuted in January 2019 and, in just a few months, sparked international enthusiasm, receiving concert requests from around the world. The audience holds a central place in their approach, but their talent was quickly recognized by professionals. In March 2019, a memorable encounter took place: Ian Paice, the legendary DEEP PURPLE drummer and the last founding member still active, agreed to perform on stage with them. His feedback was unequivocal: "It's a real pleasure to play with them. They really do a fantastic job, have a great sound, and give their all. I really enjoyed playing alongside them." This recognition attests to the quality and authenticity of their performance.
