Périphérique Concert: TAOH and Marlène Bretzel

TAOH, short for The Act Of Humanity, is a trio from Eastern France whose members have known each other for many years. The band, whose lineup has never changed, consists of Miguel Canton on guitar and vocals, Manu Baum on bass and vocals, and Jean-Marc Monnier on drums. Their music is inspired by the East American punk scene and is characterized by hypnotic rhythms where bass and guitar create a unique sonic depth. Alternating between calm and syncopated passages, their style ranges from emo to post-punk, with stripped-down compositions and raw lyrics that passionately advocate for the construction of our collective reality. These lyrics, both engaged and deeply emotional, give their music a special intensity.

Meanwhile, DJ Marlène Bretzel, a fan of sauerkraut, vinyl, and rock’n’roll, offers a dance atmosphere blending punk, garage, rockabilly, post-punk, and electro, for an evening full of energy and enjoyment.
