Theater - Resurrection

The Comédie de Colmar presents an ambitious theatrical creation marking Leïla Slimani's debut as a playwright. Inspired by Tolstoy's work, this courtroom drama explores themes of remorse, guilt, and the impossibility of forgiveness at the heart of social violence. Director Simon Delétang sets the action in a courtroom, confronting the past and present of a woman of unwavering integrity, masterfully portrayed by Marina Hands.

Surrounding her, the troupe of the Comédie-Française, led by Guillaume Gallienne, delivers a performance of great subtlety. Actors Christian Gonon, Loïc Corbery, Mélissa Polonie, Fabrice Lebert, Georgia Scalliet, and Thibault Vinçon complete this prestigious cast for a collective performance as brilliant as it is captivating.
