Metternich Dictionary Conference - The Coachman of Europe

As part of the thematic program dedicated to the history of the Habsburgs in Ensisheim, a conference is offered to explore the life and work of Clément de Metternich. This event will be led by Yves Moritz, author of the *Dictionnaire Metternich, The Coachman of Europe*, prefaced by Georges de Habsbourg-Lorraine.

Clément de Metternich, a major figure in 19th-century diplomacy, embodies the alliance between German and Alsatian cultures through his origins. After serving Austria for nearly forty years, he left a lasting mark on history as ambassador and then foreign minister. His roles extended for an additional twenty-seven years as chancellor, until his dismissal in 1848, a consequence of the Revolution.

Dive into the incredible journey of this political strategist through Yves Moritz's analyses, which shed light on Metternich's choices and influence. A book signing session is planned after the conference for those wishing to continue the discussion.
