Winegrower's Interlude: Cheeses and Grand Crus

Photo: Office de Tourisme de la Vallée de Kaysersberg - Jonathan Florence

Want to surprise your taste buds? This Winegrower's Interlude is made for you! What products better embody France than wine and cheese?

In Sigolsheim, in the heart of the Kaysersberg-Vignoble vineyard, the Meyer-Krumb family opens their doors to explore bold pairings between Alsace white wines and local cheeses. Forget clichés: these pairings are not limited to red wines. Aurélie, winemaker's daughter and cheese expert, guides you through an intimate tasting in the family cellar. After a cellar tour, she offers a selection of Grand Cru wines, aged on the estate, paired with mountain tommes. Gewurztraminer, Riesling, and other Alsatian grape varieties reveal complex aromas that enhance the cheeses from the Kaysersberg valley. A sensory experience accessible to both novices and seasoned enthusiasts.
