Basket Weaving Initiation Workshop

Dive into the ancient art of basket weaving during a day-long initiation led by Isabelle and the facilitators from Ferme d'Argentin.

This technique, which involves weaving plants like willow, straw, or rushes, allows the creation of everyday objects (baskets, bowls) as well as technical items (beehives, garden borders).

Although very old, this craft remains relevant and is renewed each cold season when willows are pruned to provide the willow rods needed for crafting. This is the perfect time to learn the basics of this craft.

During the workshop, you will learn to select your rods, start a basket base, and interlace the elements to bring your creation to life.

The goal of the day? To make an arched basket, whose progress will accompany you throughout the hours of practice, resulting in a unique object, the fruit of your work and patience.
