Workshop: Make an Arched Basket (One Day)

Basket weaving is an ancient technique that allows the creation of everyday objects (baskets, trays, trivets) as well as technical elements (beehives, garden borders) using plants such as willow, straw, or rush.

Still relevant today, this craft is especially practiced in winter when willows are pruned to harvest the wicker, ideal for learning this manual art.

Guided by instructors, participants will learn to make an arched basket during a one-day workshop, accessible to children from 12 years old. Necessary tools (Opinel-type knife, pruning shears) can be brought by participants.

Lunch, consisting of soup, cheese, and dessert, is included.

The workshop takes place on a Saturday or Sunday, by reservation only through the Ferme Argentin website.

Prices: €35 for adults, €20 for children aged 12 to 15 and subscribers.

Additionally, it is possible to visit the site and join the public activities offered throughout the day.
