Dance: [The 2010s]

Since his adolescence, Sylvain Groud, choreographer associated with La Filature, Scène nationale, has danced as if exploring a territory. For him, the stage is not a place for demonstration but a space of truth where the forces driving the performers are revealed.

These performers began their artistic journey during the great lockdown of 2020, a pivotal period marking their transition into adulthood.

Through this creation, Groud seeks to bring forth what defines them: their anger, their nonchalance, their exaltations, their hopes, and their fears. The scenes, ranging from solo to group, even to a pack, test different stage configurations.

The piece, organic and alive, oscillates between beauty, brutality, and softness, traversed by tensions, impulses and rhythms, restlessness and hesitation. By questioning the 2010s, it reflects back on a time when the personal and political were one, a vital struggle for these young artists.
