Formula 1 Exhibition

A symbol of speed and technological daring, Formula 1 takes center stage at the National Automobile Museum – Schlumpf Collection in an immersive exhibition.

Since its inception in 1950, this sport has been much more than a championship: it is a field of mechanical experimentation and a myth that spans generations.

By exploring nearly fifty iconic single-seaters, from the pioneering cars of the 1950s to contemporary racing machines, visitors discover the major milestones of this epic journey.

The exhibition highlights the technical revolutions of the 1960s and 1970s, the spectacular era of the 1980s and 1990s, as well as the evolution towards modern Formula 1, marked by hybrid technology, enhanced safety, and advanced aerodynamics.

Beyond the cars, a selection of rare objects – helmets, racing suits, trophies, archives, and photographs – illustrates the legacy of the greatest champions. A fascinating dive into the history and lasting influence of F1 on the automotive world.
