In the Realm of Shadows: The Reels of the Strange

Ghostly imprints, oppressive atmospheres, and disturbing visions hide within the collections of the regional film archive MIRA. For the Nights of the Strange event, the institution highlights the most chilling scenes filmed by amateur filmmakers in Alsace, from the 1930s to today. A unique opportunity to discover these audiovisual archives from a new perspective, where the fantastic and the unsettling come to life in the darkest corners of the preserved reels and tapes.

The MIRA film archive's mission is to rescue amateur films from oblivion, whether on reels or tapes, to preserve this unique cinematic heritage.
