Opera: Ariadne on Naxos

Just minutes before the curtain rises, the sponsor imposes radically new conditions, forcing singers and musicians to reinvent everything urgently. This mise en abyme, both humorous and deeply accurate, reveals the fragile balance between creative freedom and external constraints, in an atmosphere where reality and fiction constantly intertwine.

Under the direction of Myriam Marzouki, this production brilliantly plays with ancient mythologies and contemporary issues, offering a reflection on art and its limits. At the baton, Christoph Koncz highlights Strauss's orchestral richness, vocal lyricism, and the Mozartian touch that runs through the work. Eugénie Joneau, from the Opera Studio, embodies Ariadne for the first time, surrounded by an exceptional international cast.
