June 1940. France, crushed by the German offensive, signs the armistice and falls into despair. Amid this chaos, a man, until then unknown to the public, refuses to submit. Alone against all, he leaves mainland France for London, determined to save what matters most: the very idea of freedom. Without troops, allies, or illusions, he bets everything on an unwavering conviction: the battle for France is not over, and defeat is not final.

The world disagrees. Yet, little by little, figures emerge around him. In England, occupied France, and Africa, resistors organize in the shadows, high school students rise up, soldiers refuse to lay down their arms. Their courage, determination, and faith in the future defy a history that seemed sealed.

Together, they prove that resistance, even fragile, can shake the established order.
