Film - The Battle of Gaulle - Part 2: I Write Your Name
June 1940. France, overwhelmed by the German advance, surrenders and signs the armistice. In this widespread chaos, a man, still unknown to the general public, refuses to submit. Alone against History, he leaves France for London, determined to save what matters most: the hope of regained freedom.
Without an army, without allies, almost without resources, he bets everything on an unwavering conviction: the battle is not over, and France has not laid down its arms.
The world thinks he is mad. Yet, his call gradually resonates beyond borders. In England, in occupied France, and as far as Africa, strangers rise up. Resisters act in the shadows, high school students rebel, soldiers refuse defeat. Their determination defies a History that seemed sealed. Their fight, born from a wild hope, will become the symbol of a resistance that refuses to bend.
