Medieval Christmas Market

Every year as Christmas approaches, Ribeauvillé transforms into a magical medieval setting. The town of the minstrels, rich in its historical past, hosts a unique Christmas market where the atmosphere of yesteryear blends with festive joy. In the cobbled streets, costumed characters – beggars, peasants, dancers, and jesters – bring the place to life, transporting visitors to a bygone era. The stalls are filled with authentic flavors: spit-roasted wild boar, ale, mulled wine, sweet and savory treats, while decoration enthusiasts can discover Advent wreaths, handcrafted nativity scenes, and scented candles. This living spectacle, both original and spectacular, delights young and old alike with its warmth and festive conviviality.

To facilitate access to this event, a Park-and-Ride is offered at the Cordon-Schmidt company site, located at 22 Route de Colmar in Bergheim (68750), near exit no. 20 of the A35. This parking lot, with 750 spaces, is available at a rate of €10 per vehicle. A free shuttle, running every 20 minutes, connects this site to the Christmas market. The shuttles operate from 9:50 AM to 8:30 PM on Saturdays and from 9:50 AM to 7:30 PM on Sundays. This arrangement is in place on December 5 and 6 as well as December 12 and 13, 2026, allowing visitors to fully enjoy the market while limiting traffic and parking in the town, for a more peaceful and respectful experience of Ribeauvillé.
