Exhibition "Aurora Király. Parcours de regards" - Fernet-Branca Foundation
The Fernet-Branca Foundation is dedicating an exhibition to Aurora Király, an artist based in Bucharest, with "Aurora Király. Parcours de regards," her first institutional presentation in France. For three decades, she has questioned the role of images in shaping our perception, exploring their ability to frame and shape our gaze.
Her work, blending photography, textiles, and sculptures, explores diverse themes: from personal memory and the moving body to textile factories in Mulhouse (France), Resita (Romania), and Liestal (Switzerland), where she highlights the gestures of female workers. Repetition, structure, and pattern engage in dialogue with the rhythms of industrial production, revealing the body as a space both disciplined and in constant transformation.
This project is recognized by the Ministry of Culture, which awarded it the Bicentennial of Photography label. It is part of the official programming of the celebrations, scheduled from September 1, 2026, to September 30, 2027.
