On the Silberwald Christmas Trail: Guided Event
Every December, the village of Stosswihr hosts the Silberwald Christmas Trail, a festive and illuminated event. Village volunteers decorate the streets with a Christmas theme and enliven the day with concerts, carols, and Christmas stories, creating a warm and magical atmosphere for all ages. The route starts at the Stosswihr community hall, passes by the Catholic church, winds through the village streets, continues to the Ampfersbach chapel, and ends at the Silberwald grotto. The event is organized by the Stosswihr municipality, with support from the Munster Tourist Office, the Caméléon club, local residents, artists, and valley associations. The 2 km trail can be explored freely outside of event dates. For guided tours, a free shuttle runs between Munster and Stosswihr from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM, with return trips to Munster available on request. The guided visit lasts about 2 hours, but participants can adjust the pace to their liking.
