Theater - Speakerines in Crisis
The year 1975 was marked in France by a deep crisis: the second oil shock caused prices to soar, inflation spiraled, and international tensions intensified from the Middle East to the Far East.
In this troubled context, French society, forced into "waste hunting," still sought entertainment. Television channels, the new Eldorado, favored variety shows led by star presenters who became true celebrities.
Among them, Noël Nocens embodied the archetype of an ambitious and unscrupulous character: he flattered his superiors, courted popular singers, but relentlessly humiliated the announcers and despised committed artists.
More concerned with his image than morality, he tried to orchestrate a rivalry between a promising young writer and a star of the young female audience, hoping to profit from it.
But his past caught up with him, and the ensuing revelations marked the triumph of art... as well as the revenge of the long-oppressed announcers. A social satire blending ambition, manipulation, and the quest for justice.
