16th Century Residence
Located in Soultzmatt, this elegant private residence dates back to the late 16th century, although some architectural elements, such as the ornamentation from 1617, suggest construction or modification at that time. The building is characterized by its two-story pepperpot oriel, a projecting structure that adds a distinctive touch to the facade. Built from yellow Rouffach sandstone, a local material prized for its durability and warm color, the building showcases the regional craftsmanship of the era. A turret completes the ensemble, housing a polygonal staircase with carefully arranged steps. Access to this turret is through a door topped with a triangular pediment, an architectural detail that enhances the historic charm of this property.
