17th-Century House in Dangolsheim

In the heart of the village of Dangolsheim stands an elegant 17th-century half-timbered house.

Located right next to the town hall, it perfectly embodies the typical housing of Alsace's wine-growing regions.

The building features a semi-buried stone base, characteristic of constructions from that era, pierced with ventilation openings that were used to air and light the cellars.

These openings once housed the wine press and cellar, essential to local wine-growing life.

The richly decorated facade is carved from oak, with motifs that reflect the artisanal craftsmanship of the time.

A carved corner post highlights the house's angle, adding to its charm and authenticity.
