Adolf Michaelis Museum

The Adolf Michaelis Museum houses a remarkable collection of casts, mainly ancient, gathered by Adolf Michaelis at the end of the 19th century.

Managed since then by a student association, this plaster cast collection includes iconic pieces from major European museums, such as the Winged Victory of Samothrace and the Apollo Belvedere. As the first university museum of its kind in France, it represents a historical and archaeological heritage of great value. Currently temporarily closed, it was accessible from the University Palace, either via the staircase to the right of the Marc Bloch hall leading to the garden level, or from the rear of the building on the University Street side, offering access suitable for people with reduced mobility.
