Alsatian House Park
The Alsatian House Park is a unique open-air museum, born from the dedication of many volunteers. Their efforts saved iconic buildings from demolition, which were dismantled and rebuilt in Reichstett.
These half-timbered houses, rich in history, now line up to recreate a traditional Alsatian street, complete with houses, workshops, and barns.
Inside, each room is furnished with period furniture and illustrates a different theme or era, offering an authentic glimpse into life in Alsace long ago. A visit here is truly a journey back in time.
Unfortunately, the park is only open occasionally, but if you happen to be in the area at the right time, it’s well worth a stop.
Nearby, a small enclosure houses storks, the emblematic bird of Alsace, set in a scene enhanced by miniature Alsatian houses.
