Au Brasseur Restaurant
Diving into the world of Au Brasseur means discovering an Alsatian brewery where beer is much more than a drink: it is the expression of a passion passed down through centuries.
In Alsace, this iconic beverage embodies both our culture and culinary heritage, cherished by locals for generations.
It all began in 1746 on Rue des Veaux in Strasbourg, when Jean Hatt founded the Brasserie de l’Espérance. For over a century, this establishment shaped local history until its closure in 1863.
In 1991, the legacy was revived under the name Au Brasseur. Since then, the brewery has fervently upheld this ancestral craft by brewing artisanal beers on site, combining rigor and creativity.
More than thirty years later, it continues to blend tradition and innovation to offer beers with authentic character, crafted with care and passion.
Each tasting is an invitation to travel through time: every sip tells the story of artisanal brewing, enriched with contemporary touches for a unique tasting experience.
To fully enjoy this adventure, guided tours are offered. They allow visitors to discover the secrets of brewing, taste fresh beers, and soak up the warm and friendly atmosphere of this iconic brewery, located in the heart of Strasbourg.
