Beech Alley
The Beech Alley, located on the communal bench of Ligsdorf in the Saint-Pierre-Lucelle state forest, is distinguished by an exceptional alignment of nearly 40 beech trees.
These trees, over 150 years old, reach an average height of 28 meters and have a circumference of 3 meters.
Their regularity and remarkable size make them a unique group. A marked trail, indicated by a yellow ring, offers a 6-kilometer loop with an elevation gain of 160 meters. The route, accessible from the Charrière parking lot, takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes to walk.
This site combines scenic and historical interest, offering arguably one of the most beautiful views of the Alsatian Jura, with the nearby Swiss Jura mountains as a backdrop.
