BESTHEIM
BESTHEIM is an Alsatian cooperative winery, the leading producer of wines and crémants in the region. Since January 2024, it has held the Vignerons Engagés label, certifying its commitment to social and environmental responsibility. It brings together nearly 325 passionate winemakers who collectively cultivate 1,400 hectares of vineyards spread from the north to the south of Alsace.
Its story begins in Bennwihr, the village of the famous Chasseurs de Lune, whose bold spirit it continues. Over the years, other Alsatian wineries have joined this collective venture, forming an ambitious cooperative house. Heirs to this emblematic nickname, the cooperative winemakers pursue a shared dream: to create authentic, sincere, and emotionally expressive Alsace wines and crémants.
BESTHEIM embodies the heritage of the Chasseurs de Lune, those fearless winemakers who, from generation to generation, have preserved and passed down their expertise. This heritage, transmitted through time, gives rise to elegant and refined cuvées.
Today, the 325 winemakers of BESTHEIM, spread across 71 communes, share the same philosophy: boldness and freedom. United by a strong cooperative spirit, they commit to a demanding approach, prioritizing rigorous vineyard work to achieve perfectly ripe grapes. This requirement is the key to producing exceptional great wines and crémants.
