Birkenfels Castle
Built around 1260, this small residential castle embodies medieval architecture with its three-level main building.
Its facades feature niche arrow slits, defensive characteristics of the time, as well as large bays with multiple windows that allow generous light to enter.
The pentagonal keep, although unfinished, is a striking element of the structure, reflecting the original ambitions of its builders.
