Birkenwald Castle

Built in 1562 on the remains of an old fortified house, this Renaissance manor is distinguished by its elegant architecture and six semi-circular towers. On the west side, three of these towers, topped with pepper pot roofs, rise gracefully. On the opposite side, two other towers have been converted into terraces, offering an unobstructed view of the surrounding garden. Finally, a more discreet stair turret serves the guardroom located on the ground floor, adding a touch of mystery to this place steeped in history.
