Boatmen's Museum

Once the largest boatmen's village in Eastern France, this town now hosts a unique museum aboard a barge moored at the Quai des Bateliers.

Through a rich collection of objects, documents, and models, the museum immerses visitors in the history, techniques, and lifestyle of the boatmen who shaped navigation on the region's canals.

The museum is open to the public from May 1 to September 30, on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, from 2 PM to 6 PM. Outside this period, visits can be arranged by appointment. To enhance the experience, audio guides in German are provided free with admission, and explanatory panels in German are also available.
