Boersch
Nestled in a green setting between vineyards and hills, Boersch holds architectural treasures where Renaissance and Middle Ages intersect.
At the heart of the town, the Town Hall Square showcases the finest examples of Renaissance style: the town hall, recognizable by its spiral staircase housed in an elegant turret, and a six-bucket well dated 1617, completing this remarkable historic ensemble.
But Boersch is not limited to this flamboyant period. It also retains a strong medieval imprint, visible through its ramparts and ancient gates, such as the one from 1340.
Strolling through the cobbled streets, you discover half-timbered houses with facades adorned with trade emblems, bearing witness to a rich artisanal past. Among them, the former house of the Teutonic Knights, built in 1499, recalls the strategic and religious importance of the city at that time.
