Bohn House with Carved Beam
This elegant house, located in Père Staub dead-end street, was built in 1601.
It holds historical significance as it was the city's first school.
Damaged during bombings, it was restored after World War II. The sandstone corner stone on the ground floor bears a German inscription made up of word initials. This solemn phrase asks the Virgin Mary to protect the place from the scourges of water, war, plague, and fire.
