BotaRied - Botanical Trail

BotaRied is the first free interactive digital trail in the Grand Ried of central Alsace. Open year-round, it may be temporarily closed in case of flooding. This route invites both young and old to a fun and educational adventure to find the Hockemann, a legendary character of the region.

With family or friends, follow the clues and solve puzzles spread over 8 stages. The trail guides you through typical Ried landscapes, where you can observe local wildlife and plants. Two options are available to conduct the investigation: with a smartphone, download the Baludik app and scan the QR codes scattered along the route. Make sure your phone is fully charged to fully enjoy the experience.

If you prefer to explore without a smartphone, a discovery booklet is available. You can get it at the town hall, the Maison de la Nature, or on the website www.maisonnaturemutt.org. It's up to you to solve the mystery of the disappearance of the Hockemann!
