Breux Fishing Ponds
The Breux ponds are located just outside the town of Saint-Blaise-la-Roche.
A specially adapted pier now provides access for people with disabilities. Two fishing seasons are offered: coarse fishing is allowed from the fourth Saturday in March to the first Sunday in October, while fly fishing takes place during the winter, from the first Saturday of the All Saints' holiday to the first Sunday in March.
During the latter period, coarse fishing remains possible in the small pond.
To fish, it is mandatory to obtain a daily or annual "pond" fishing permit, as the "river" permit is not valid.
The current regulations are posted on site and must be consulted before any fishing session. A maximum of two rods is allowed, and hooks must be barbless or crushed.
All baits and artificial lures are prohibited, except flies during the winter season. The species present include carp, tench, trout, and white fish. Carp must be released (no kill), and the daily catch limits are three tench and three salmonids, except for fly fishing, which must be practiced as no kill. Fishing permits are available at the Proxi store, located at 29 rue Principale in Saint-Blaise-la-Roche, or from Jean Schrenck, the pond manager, at 06 07 79 33 83.
