Cagliostro Tower

To the left of the Rohan Castle Park stands the Rohan Tower, where Joseph Balsamo, better known as Cagliostro, is said to have conducted mysterious experiments blending alchemy and occult sciences. Invited by the Prince of Rohan, this dark and romantic figure settled in Saverne.

His name is also linked to the Affair of the Queen's Necklace, a historical scandal that marked the end of the 18th century.
