Catholic Church
The Catholic Church of Balbronn, dedicated to Saint Catherine, began construction on Saint Catherine's Day.
This beautiful neo-Gothic building was erected starting in 1905, following the end of the simultaneum in the commune.
Inside, the choir houses a Eucharistic cabinet dating from 1453, a precious witness to the local religious history.
The bell tower, square in plan and two levels high, features a stair turret attached to the south side.
The entrance portal, with a pointed arch, is topped by a triangular pediment and a statue of Saint Catherine.
The octagonal spire crowning the tower adds a particular elegance to the whole.
Inside the sanctuary, the baptismal fonts from 1687, bearing the inscription "L. R. Ludovicus Rex," pay tribute to King Louis XIV.
