Catholic Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help
Construction of this church in Mundolsheim began in 1938 but was interrupted by World War II. Work resumed and was completed in 1951.
Inside, a set of six stained glass windows depicts the Ecclesia Sancta Dei, symbolizing the holy Church of God.
The sanctuary, inspired by Florentine architecture, houses two remarkable icons: Our Lady of Perpetual Help, to whom the church is dedicated, and Saint Nicholas, the parish's second patron.
These works were created in 1952 by Russian princess Helena Lwoff.
Our Lady of Perpetual Help is a figure of worldwide devotion, linked to a Byzantine icon famous for its miracles.
The original is located in Rome, at the Church of Saint Alphonsus, while the Mundolsheim copy closely follows it.
